Weekend in Istria region

Early morning. Charming sea square. Coffee, warm and crispy croissant, morning sun and the Sea…. I’m in Istria. Geographically I’m in Croatia but I feel like I’m in Italy.
People speak Italian, signs are on Italian as well :)

The lady we rent apartment told us that her grand father was born in Austria, her father in Italy, she in Yugoslavia and her daughter in Croatia and it’s the same place, the same city Pula…

Pula:

Romans arrived here in 177 BC and transported it into s significant commercial center. They also build an impressive amphitheatre “ARENA”, it’s the sixth largest amphitheatre in the world.

The Brijuni Islands:

A small archipelago of 14 islands became famous as the private Tito’s resort area before being converted into national park.

Rovinj:

This is my favorite!!!!
So delicately situated between medieval port and modern resort it has managed to preserve its beauty and character better then anywhere else on the peninsula’s west coast. Rovinj is the most Italian city on the coast.
There are so many seafood restaurants that you can hardly chose where to go :) but in Croatia, do as Croatians are, go only to those places where you see customers :) But this rule can probably apply to anywhere you go :)
